Our Mission

Diapalé Education is a community 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in the United States that is serving the youth of Bargny, Senegal.

We strive to build a community where all children feel loved, respected and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential in learning. We believe that a happy child is a successful one. We strive to provide the tools and supplies needed to create a positive, safe and stimulating environment for children to learn. We intend that all children should enjoy their learning, achieve their potential and become independent learners.

Diapalé (pronounced Jah-Pah-Lay) is a Wolof term meaning an act of helping

Our vision

Education is at the heart of our many concerns, and at the center of our ambitions to participate in the development of the city of Bargny. Given the colossal work to be done in education, the Diapalé Education foundation has 3 objectives:

To support and accompany local authorities, teachers, parents and students with improving the quality of infrastructure
Providing pedagogical resources to lacking schools
Contribute to the training and capacity building of teachers and school officials in our city.

We are counting on the collaboration of all our partners. We must harmonize our efforts in order to succeed in a challenge that is very dear to us. Namely the reform of our education system and improvement of conditions in order to rebuild a school of excellence in our city.
